Wow it's been several months since my last post. I almost forgot I even had a blog and that it's sole purpose and importance is for me to write down important things that I don't want to forget about my children growing up...because it happens so fast!!!
So starting with Alyda, she of course is in kindergarten and learning so much, she writes and reads and does equations...I am so impressed on how fast she has picked up on everything. She is my little artist and loves to paint and draw and of course do crafts with me her mom, she is always asking me to help her make the next holiday's craft and if there is no holiday she will just make something to do with the season, it allows us to spend good one on one time together. Most of her friends right now are boys, but she has met a few girlfriends at school so I am not too worried.....She loves primary and being at church so it gets us all up and going early in the morning when you just don't want to get motivated, Zaylin and her will get you excited to go! She counts down the days to every event, birthday, holiday, whatever it is, she is my own personal calendar! I really do loving having a daughter first, she is my little 2nd mom, always helping with the other two and she does such a great job at it!
Zaylin....my boy...is just that, all boy, (except for when his sister Alyda goes and puts on her fanciest dress to dance and he has to copy her as he does now with most things she does these days...luckily she is a good example. He too puts on a dress and likes to dance as well.) But he is all boy when it comes to his toys and LOVES his cars and the tracks they go on.....he could spend hours lining them up and driving them and parking them all over our house! He also loves the train and we go hang out down town just for him to ride trax for a bit! He will spend hours outside running around with Alyda and the neighbor boys, like he is not a bit younger than them. He asks to take a nap, which I think is awesome because Alyda refused them when she was younger and I could never get her to sleep during the day....even now if she falls asleep in the car she won't admit she was asleep, (I think she sees it as a kind of "weakness"). Zaylin is one of a kind with his blonde curly hair that springs to life when it gets wet and his chubby face that makes me want to squeeze his cheeks and his soft heart that melts me when he is so considerate of someone when they are sad. He too loves church and his nursery class and can't wait to see his friend Dean when he goes! He has been quick to learn and when Alyda brings home her homework he likes to try and practice the same things she does, he amazes me with what he understands!
Avery is my one cuddly child.....Zaylin likes to as well...but Avery is always snuggling with me every chance he gets. He knows the blankets as cozy cozy and just wraps up in them. He doesn't like to be fed...he prefers feeding himself most of the time. He started walking not soon after learning to crawl...he really took off at 9 months and is now a champ at it. He gets noticed quite often because he is just my tiny little bud walking around and enjoying the freedom, and it takes people by surprise. Avery loves to play with his sister and brother and is always trying to keep up following them around the house to wherever they are. He has never really liked his car seat and it has been a challenge trying to keep him entertained while driving, that's where my Alyda the helper comes in, she sings to him and calms him down to happy. Avery sleeps great...goes to bed on time with the other two, (always have a bedtime and routine for your child it helps) so I can't complain about that!!
It's weird though, I do miss my children after I put them to bed, even if it has been a heck of a day and I am exhausted and can't wait to have my own time, I still feel a little sad.... maybe it is the final piece and quiet and that no one needs me.....it makes me feel uneasy!
I just can't get enough of Avery right now though....this learning stage is the best and watching them find the smallest things so hilarious is hilarious!! Avery is also a pretty close spitting image of Alyda when she was little.....there are a lot of times when we will all be watching baby videos of one of the children and Zaylin gets Alyda and Avery confused all the time....its too funny!!! I can't wait to see how he becomes one of them....but yet I can because, like everyone says...they grow up so fast! Love them all so much it hurts!
