Happy Birthday Alyda, "2" years old.

Saturday July 17th we got to celebrate once again, another year of my sweet little Alyda's life, and it has been a great one watching her grow into the cutest personality that I know. She has been talking about her birthday forever, she loves birthdays, the birthday song, and candles on the cake, even lighting a scented candle for the house, and she thinks we are going to sing the birthday song. So funny!

Anyway I had decided awhile ago that I wanted to start really getting into decorating cute cakes for my kids birthdays, much like my mom did when I was young. We use to have the most amazing cakes for our parties and I remember getting so excited for them. Well I picked through some cakes and I came across a few that I actually thought I might be capable of making and gave Alyda the choice between a those, and she chose a turtle cake, she even liked watching the little video of the lady putting it together. I was not very confident in my frosting abilities but I think I did ok. This is what is called a pull apart cake, it's a bunch of cupcakes frosted together to form the shape, so it was an easy way to start, I would recommend trying it, it was fun! Well the party came and we had a great time and my little baby is now 2 and I can't even express in words how she melts my heart and makes me so proud. I love her so much and I am so grateful to have her in my life. Every moment is with her teaches me so much about myself, we love you so much Alyda!
