So I have a great story and this is for real...for all you friends that just think I am trying to get you attention, (you know what I am talking about).  Anyway the other day I was in Good Ole WalMart...letting Alyda see all the toys I don't buy for her and after we had our share of wandering but buying nothing, we were walking out and, you know those closed in sections in the front of the store that have all the arcade type things with the ride on horse and pay a dollar to move a claw around to win a stuffed animal but never actually grabs anything.  Well yeah anyway there was this cute 80 year old or so man in there playing the thing and me and Alyda stopped to watch for a minute (out of all the people to be in there),anyway,  it looked like he had previously won a stuffed dog that he had in his cart, but was having no success as we watched him. He had all these $1 bills in his hand and just kept trying, talking to us all the while, saying that he collects these things to give to charity (it must just be a more enjoyable way to get the toys, rather than just buy them). He then decided he wanted to let Alyda have the dog he had won,  she seemed excited until she for some reason kept trying to put it back in his basket, so he thought she didn't like it so he kept trying for other things to give her (so sweet) eventually he asked me if I was Mormon and made some joke about how you shouldn't answer yes beacuse your not a book but rather should say you are from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints..it was hard to understand him but I laughed at his attempt at a joke and agreed with him.  Then he went off about him and his wife serving a mission and made another joke I couldn't follow, but all the while I was attempting laughter to make him feel good.  He also asked me if I listened to country music, I said yes and he asked if I listened to KSOP of all stations, I said yeah, then he told me that he had been the one who had started that station way back when, and he went off on telling me about it.... I was having a good time just listening to him and could see he was enjoying it as well.  I told him I was on my way out and he asked me to follow him to his car, (he could barely move so I wasn't worried for our safety or anything).  We went to his trunk and when he opened it he all these toys and things that he had been collecting for charity (most of them Easter things), he was so exited to give Alyda more stuff so he just kept handing me things and I was trying to tell him that one was enough but I could tell he was enjoying it so I took them graciously and wished him a good day (one of the toys was an $18 toy).  What a sweetheart, it really made my day, and I will never forget him.

"No you don't...you are just trying to get our attention."

Oh, good times, good times!

And what a crack smokin' story about the old man! What is it about old men chit chatting with younger women these days? Hmmm...

I'm glad he didn't stuff you in his trunk though.
